Poised posture, fluid movement
WELCOME!
I teach people how to use their bodies more efficiently so that they can do what they do better and more comfortably. The method I teach, the Alexander Technique, helps people unravel tension patterns they’ve had for most of their lives and regain poised posture as well as fluidity and ease of movement. In addition, I am a musician and music teacher.
AmSAT certification
I completed a 3-year, 1600-hour program at an approved teacher-training course, the Urbana Center for the Alexander Technique, in order to become an AmSAT-certified (American Society for the Alexander Technique) teacher of the Alexander Technique. AmSAT maintains the highest standards for teacher training, certification, and membership in the United States, with training courses being required to meet specific requirements and undergo periodic reevaluation.

The Alexander Technique is a process for identifying and changing habits of misuse which cause tension, stress, and pain, and limit functioning. With lessons in the Alexander Technique, you can regain your body’s innate coordination and poise, allowing you to do everything you do with greater ease and improved quality.
